Articles of Incorporation of the Lake City
Land and Timber Company.
I James E. Young, Ambrose B. Hart, William R.
Bush, James C. Getzen, J.D. Calloway of Lake City,
Florida, and James A. Crawford, Vastine J. Herlong,
Thomas W. Getzen, John V. Brown of Columbia
County, Florida, and John F. White, J.S. White of
Live Oak, Suwanee County Florida, and W.N.
Thompson of Fernandina, Nassau County, Florida,
and such other persons as they may associate
with them are (under the existing law of the State
of Florida) hereby made and constituted a body
politic and corporate under the name of the Lake
City Land and Timber Company,
and by and under that name is authorized
and empowered to contract for and purchase
either for cash or on credit or both, and hold
and possess lands, tenements and hereditaments,
goods, chattels and effects of every kiind, both
real and personal, deemed by it necessary to
secure and promote the purposes of said Incor-
poration
and the more effectually to secure the same
are authorized to execute and deliver its notes,
bonds and all necessary writings obligatory for 
the payment of any and all property real or
personal so purchased as aforesaid, and to execute
mortgages, deeds of trust and any and all obli-
gations to secure the debts and liabilities of said
body corporate for property real or personal so
purchased on time or credit and held by said
corporation and are authorized and empowered
to grant, sell, mortgage and convey and dispose
of the same by deeds, Bills of sale and delivery
thereof, and to execute any and all acquittances
deemed necessary to carry out the intention of said
