  Tuesday December 9th 1856

Philip Dell     }   Coker Bernard & Smith
      vs        }   Ass
S.R. Johnson    }   Underwood
                  And now on this day came
the parties by their respective Attorneys and
this cause coming on to be heard, upon
demurrer to the pleas after argument of
counsel tis ordered said Demurrer be
sustained the defendant have leave to amend
his pleas it is further ordered that this cause
be continued by consent of Parties.

       vs      }   Debt
S.R. Johnson   }   Underwood
                  And now on this day comes
the parties by their respective attorneys and
this cause coming on to be heard upon
demurrer submitted at the the last term of
this court It is ordered by the Court that
said Demurrer be overruled and Defendant
have leave to plead instanter on motion
of Defendants counsel & cause shown it
is ordered that this cause be continued
upon Defendants paying costs of this term.

               And now on this day came
into open Court the Grand Jury for the
body of the County of Alachua and returned
in open Court the following true bill
The State of Florida    }
           vs           }  Indictment assault
Simon a Slave           }  with intent to Kill

  Endorsed "a true Bill"
             Fernando A. Underwood,
