sufficient jail or place of safe Keeping in the county of Alachua
It is therefore ordered that the Sheriff of Alachua County do convey
the said Simon a slave to the jail of Marion County and deliver
him unto the custody of the jailer of said County and that the jailer
of said county of Marion do receive said Simon a slave unto
said County jail and Keep him until the further order of this
court

James B. Dawkins Esqr prosecuting the pleas of
the State in this behalf as well the prisoner John
G. Rawls who having pleaded not guilty to the charge
in said Indictment contained and thereupon
came a Jury to wit

of counsel and charge of the court retired
to consider of their verdict and having con=
sidered thereof they returned into court with
the following verdict "We the Jury find
the Prisoner not Guilty" thereupon it was
ordered that the Prisoner was ordered to go
without day;
