Merry, Child & Co  }  Means
            And now on this day came the parties by their
respective attorneys and the defendants saying nothing in bar
or preclusion of the said plaintiffs said action hereof against them
on motion of plaintiffs attorney It is ordered by the Court
that the said plaintiff do have his Judgment against the said
defendants by default and a writ of inquiry of damages
be awarded returnable at the present term of this Court.

        And now on this day came the plaintiff by his
attorneys and move the Court for Judgment by default against
Elijah Barrow and that the Clerk do assess the damages which
said motion was granted, Whereupon the Clerk having assessed
the damages at one hundred & ninety nine Dollars and seventy
four ~~~~~ cents It is further ordered considered and adjudged
by the Court that the plaintiff do have and recover of and from
the said defendant the said sum of one hundred and ninety nine
Dollars and seventy four     cents for his damages together
with his costs in this behalf Expended Taxed at Four ~~~~~
Dollars and Eighty three cents and the defendant in mercy &c
