in mercy and &c

          The Grand Jury came into court and
presented the following Bills of Indictment  To wit:
The State of Florida  }
       vs             }  Assault and Battery with intent to Kill
Simon a Slave         }        a True Bill       
                      }     Gilles W. Ellis
                               Foreman
and on being asked if they were content the court should
alter matter of form not altering matter of substance replied
they were - and having further business retired to consider
of the same.





















The court then adjourned until tomorrow morning
