This cause coming on
to be heard, on motion, It was ordered by
the Court, that the Bond in this cause be deliv-
ered over to the Sheriff George B. Ellis, the Sheriff
of Alachua County as the Successor of Charles
L. Wilson, and that he do assign the same to
the Plaintiff in attachment

And now on this day came the
plaintiff by James B. Dawkins Solicitor who prosecutes the
pleas of the State in this behalf as well also as the prisoner
by his Counsel, and after being formally arraigned, prisoner
pleads Not Guilty, and puts himself upon the Country and
thereupon came a jury to wit:

Who being elected tried and sworn, the
truth if and upon the premises to speak and
who having heard the testimony , argument of Counsel and
charge of the Court retired under charge of a sworn Bailiff of this court to
to Consider of their verdict and
came into court and on their oath do say
afterward to wit on the following day entered the following to wit:
We the Jury find the Prisoner Guilty, of an assault & battery with intent to Kill Whereupon
it is ordered considered and adjudged by the Court, that the
prisoner be remanded back to jail
