for the Eastern Circuit of Florida holden on this 14th day
of December  A.D. 1857 at the Court House in the Town
of Gainesville in and for the County of Alachua in
said Circuit

The Venire heretofore issued being returned and the
Jurors summoned to attend at this term being called
the following Seventeen Jurors answered to their names

   7   Francis R. Polk                  15   Ezekiel Parish
   8   Daniel J. Stroble                16   Peter W. Guinn
   9   Jacob G. Stroble                 17   David Mizzell
                    The following persons good and lawful men
were then drawn according to law to serve as grand Juror
for the present term of the Court   Viz

                    The grand Jurors having retired solicited
as their Foreman Saml R. Piles who was appointed by the
Court as such Foreman, and duly sworn.  The Grand 
Jurors were then sworn and the Court thereupon delivered
its Charge
             Burrell T. Stokes was then duly sworn to attend
the Grand Jurors during the present Term of the Court
Whereupon the Grand Jury retired attended by their
