                                 And now on this day came the said 
plaintiff by his attorney Jessie T. Bernard Esqr and the 
said defendant comes by Bradford & McLin their attornies
and says nothing but makes default and whereupon the 
said plaintiff prays Judgement for want of a plea & 
that the Clerk assess the Damages & the Clerk having 
assessed the damages by reason of the premises at the sum 
of One Hundred & forty Eight dollars and five ----- cents, Therefore 
it is considered by the Court that the said plaintiff do 
recover of the said defendant the said Sum of One hund
red & forty Eight dollars and five ------  cents so as afore
said assessed against him with interest thereon 
untill paid together with the further sum of       
                dollars and        cents for his cost in 
this behalf expended and the said defendant in 
mercy &c

-tiff by his attorney Jessie T. Bernard Esqr and the said defend
ants comes by George A. Dewson their attorney & says nothing but 
makes default and thereupon the said plaintiff prays Jud
gement for want of a plea and that the Clerk assess the dam
ages & the Clerk having assessed the damages by reason of the 
premises at the sum of Eighty Seven  Dollars and 
Sixty ----- cents, Therefore it is considered by the Court that 
the said plaintiff do recover of the said defendant 
the said Sum of Eighty Seven           Dollars and 
Sixty ----- Cents so as aforesaid assessed against 
him with interest thereon untill paid together with the 
further sum of                  dollars and        
          cents for his cost in this behalf expended and 
the said defendant in mercy &c
