who being duly Elected tried and sworn, well and truly
to try the issue joined according to the law & Evidence
after hearing the testimony argument of counsel and
charge of the Court, retired to consider of their verdict
and afterwards to wit on the same day said jury returned
into Court and rendered the following verdict "We the
jury find for the defendant.""

of the State in this behalf as well the prisoner John
H. May, who having pleaded not guilty to the charge in
said indictment contained and whereupon came a Jury to

who having duly elected tried & sworn well & truly to enq
uire of the charges having had the evidence and argum
=ent of council & charge of the Court retired to consider of
their verdict & having considered thereof they returned
into Court with the following verdict We the Jury find
the prisoner guilty and assess his fine at Fifteen dollars &
imprisonment for ten days |
