           Wednesday  December 16th  1857  
Who being duly sworn to well & truly try the issue joined
between the parties after having heard the testimony of Witness
the argument of Council & the charge of the court, retired
to consider of their verdict and therefore to wit on the same
returned into Court and rendered the following Verdict
and therefore to wit on the same day returned into Court
and rendered the following Verdict," and therefore to
wit on the same day <.s>          defendant Guilty
and assessed the damages at one cent."  Whereupon
it was further ordered considered and adjudged
by the Court, that the said plaintiff do have and
recover of & from the said defendant the said
sum of one cent for his damages together with
his Costs in this behalf expended taxed at
Eight     dollars &     cents and
the defendant in mercy etc
     Court adjourned until tomorrow  9  oclock
          Court met pursuant to adjournment present the
               Honourable  B.A. Putnam

Be it Remembered that on Wednesday the sixteenth
day of December in this same Term before the Honorable
Benjamin A. Putnam Judge of the Circuit Court of the Eastern
Judicial Circuit of Florida at the town of Gainesville
in the County of Alachua comes the plaintiff by Dewson
and Sanderson his attornies and brings into the said
Court before the aforesaid Judge thereof now here his
certain Bill or declaration against Thomas Fraser
in a plea of Ejectment which declaration follows in
these words that is to say,  Richard Roe late of said
County aforesaid who has been summoned to answer
John Doe of a plea whereupon the said Richard Roe with
force and arms & entered into a certain  messuages farms
stable, outhouse, parcel or tract of land being the south
East quarter of the North west quarter and the North East
quarter of the South west quarter of Section number fourteen
in Township number Eight south of Range nineteen
East according to the maps and plats of the Land
Office at Newnansville in said County containing
divers to wit Two messuages Two Hundred acres of
arable land  Two Hundred acres of meadow land
