Thursday December 17th 1857

John G. Rawls        }     Dewson
        vs              }     Asst
James M. Richardson     }     Means
                              And now on this day the
plaintiff by his attorney and the defendant in his proper
person and by his consent It is agreed by the parties
that Judgement be extended in favour of the plaintiff
and against the said defendant for the sum of
           dollars and                      Cents
for said plaintiff damages, whereupon It is ordered
considered and adjudged by the Court that the said
plaintiff do have and recover of & from the said
defendant the said sum of                   dollars
and            Cents for his damages together
with his cost in this behalf expended taxed at
          dollars &          Cents the defendant in
mercy &c

parties by their respective attorney and also came a Jury
to wit   D.C. Hart      }  V.R. Prevatt        }  J.Y. Turner
         Daniel Lynn    }  Willis Peacock      }  J.W. Peacock
         Peter W. Guinn }  Isaac Rountree      }  William S. Perry
         John Sparkman  }  James T. Thomas     }  J.M. Croxton
who being duly elected tried & sworn well and truly to
try the issue Joined according to the law & evidence
after hearing the testimony argument of Council and
Charge of the Court, retired to consider of their verdict
and afterwards to wit on the same day said Jury
returned into Court and rendered the following
verdict, We give the Plaintiff the land

& Charles M. Furman   }
          vs          }         Asst
Thos J. Prevatt &c    }         Bradford & McLin
                        And now on this day came the parties
by their respective attornies whereupon the death of
the defendant is suggested
