Now on this day came the said
Plaintiff by George W. Means his attorney and the said
defendant comes by William Edwards his attorney and says noth
ing but makes default Whereupon the said Plaintiff moves
for Judgement for want of a plea & that the Clerk assess
the damages and the Clerk having assessed the damages by
reason of the premises at the sum of One hundred & Seventy
Eight Dollars & Eighty Seven Cents therefore it is consid
=ered by the Court that the said Plaintiff do recover of
the said defendant the said sum of One hundred & Seventy
Eight Dollars & Eighty Seven cents so as aforesaid assessed
together with interest thereon untill paid to the further
sum of Dollars
Cents for his Cost in this behalf expended and
the said defendant in mercy &c

want of a plea & that the Clerk to assess the damages
by the said Plaintiff sustained by the detension of said debt
& the Clerk having assessed the damages Sixty
Dollars & Cents it is therefore Consider
