Cause continued with leave to De-
-fendant to perfect his Plea Filed 12th May 1857 and
when Perfected by his Affidavit to stand on his Plea of
W. & J.E. Adger } Gary
vs } Assumpsit
Lewis G. Pyles } B. & McLin
And now on this day came the said
Plaintiff by his Attorney S.M.G. Gary Esqr and the said
Defendant comes by Bradford & McLin his Attorneys and says
nothing but makes default and wherefore said Plaintiff
Prays Judgement for want of a Plea and that the Clerk
assess the damages and the Clerk having assessed the
damages by reason of the premises at the Sum of
Seven hundred & Ninety Eight Dollars and Seventy Seven Cents
Therefore it is considered by the Court that the said
Plaintiff do recover of the said defendant the said sum
of Seven hundred & ninety Eight Dollars and Seventy Seven cents
so as aforesaid assessed against Him with interest
thereon untill paid together with the further Sum of
Dollars and
cents for his costs in this behalf expended and the
said Defendant in mercy &c
