Alachua County } At a meeting of the board
of County Commissioners met
pursuant to adjournment. Present J.M. Sparkman
C. Rain, Enoch J. Geiger & E.H. Jordan President
of the board
Ordered that J.M. Parchmans account of
Three dollars (3$) for carrying election returns
from Archer precinct to Gainesville be paid ----
Ordered that the two beef stears sold as estrays
to some one not known by this board, by Sam'l B. Slaughter
and Eighteen (18$) dollars of said amount for
one of the stears . . being now in the hands
of the said Treasurer, be kept by him and not paid
out until some satisfactory proof be addressed
that said amount should be paid ---- said
Stear sold some time about the middle of the
year 1862 There being no further business
the board adjourned to meet again on the
First Monday in July 1863
P.S. Ordered that Stephen McCall Treasurer
be requested to call on D.A. Frier former
Tax Collector & require of said Frier a
settlement of his account with said County
of Alachua for the taxes for the year 1861
