And now on this day came the as
well the Solicitor of the State of Florida James B. Dawkins Esqr
who prosecutes the pleas of the State in this behalf and the
defendant in person and his Council A. Maulden Esqr & pleas
not guilty thereupon came a Jury to wit

2 Lemuel Wilson 8 John T. McIntosh
3 Asa Clark Jnr 9 William C. Huggins
4 William H. Ellis 10 Theophilus Williams
5 John Sparkman 11 Joseph Furgerson
6 John Whitaker 12 Samuel M. Watson
who were duly Elected tried & Sworn a true verdict to
to render A.W. Cook, J.P. Garrison Simeon Enstine were Exam
ined on behalf of the State and the Said Jury having
heard the Evidence and the argument of Counsils and
the Charge of the Court to Consider of their verdict and
thereupon and upon the same day the said Jury returned
into Court and rendered the following verdict We the
Jury find the defendant guilty of Larceny and assess his punishment
to stand one hour in the pillory Whereupon it is ordered
Considered and adjudged by the Court that the defendant
do Stand in the said pillory of said time of one hour and
pay the Costs of this prosecution taxed at Seventeen dollars
& fifty Cents and it is further ordered by the Court that said
defendant do stand on said pillory on the 12th Inst between
the hours of One & three O Clock PM and stand committed
untill said Costs are paid

Philpot do acknowledge yourselves indebted to owe
and Stand indebted to the State of Florida Each in the
Sum of $250 and you
The sum of
one hundred & twenty five dollars of good and lawful money
