William Strickland } And now on this day came the parties by
their respective attornies and also came a Jury to wit
who being duly Elicited & Sworn well & truly to try the issue Joined
by the parties after hearing the evidence of witness the argument
of Council and the charge of the Court retired to consider
of their verdict and thereafter to wit on the same day returned
into Court and rendered the following verdict viz We the
Jury find for the plaintiff and assess the damages at Fifty four
69/100 Dollars Whereupon the Clerk it is ordered considered &
adjudged by the Court that the plaintiff do have and
recover of and from the defendant the Said Sum of fifty four
69/100 Dollars For his damages together with his cost in this behalf
Expended taxed at dollars &
Cents and the defendant in Mercy &c
