April Term of the Circuit Court for Alachua County
Suwannee Circuit of Florida begin and held this 27th day
of February A.D. 1852 Present his honor Thos T. Long Judge &
Stephen F. Harvard Elisor and Stephen P. Bevill Clerk

John J. Vaughn     }
      vs           }  Habias Corpus for possession of Agnes
Mary Vaughn        }  Vaughn an infant Child

The writ having been returned into Court with the
body of the said infant Child the plaintiff John J. Vaughn
and his Attornies Charles H. Pelot Esqr and George Dewson
Esqr were respectively three times Solemnly Called, and
neither of them appearing and it being the time appointed
to hear the Cause and the Said plaintiff and his
Counsel having had due notice, thereof the Court proceeded
to hear and determine the Cause upon the law and
Evidence, Whereupon the following Judgement and decree
was made viz
John J. Vaughn   }  
       vs        }  Habias Corpus for the possession of
Mary Vaughn      }  Agnes Vaughn an infant Child Decree
                    This Cause Coming on to be heard upon the
writ and the return thereon Endorsed, and the Court having
heard all the Evidence and argument of Counsel for
the defendant and having Considered the Same and
being advised of the Judgement thereon be rendered
It is ordered, adjudged and decreed that the Said
Agnes Vaughn be returned to the possession and
Custody of Mary Vaughn, her Mother, and that
She remain in the possession and Custody of the
Said Mary Vaughn untill the said Agnes is Capable
in law to Elect a guardian and that the said Mary
Vaughn Shall Enter unto Bond for the Sum of Two
Thousand dollars payable to the Said John J.
Vaughn with her Father S.P. Bevill Security Conditioned
to Indemnify the said John J. Vaughn against all liability
or Expence for the Support and Maintainance of the
Said Agnes Vaughn It is further ordered adju
-dged and decreed that the Said John J. Vaughn be
and is hereby Enjoined and restrained from all
interference with the said Agnes without the consent of
the Said Mary Vaughn under a penalty of Five
thousand dollars
