Monday 14th 1862
who having returned under direction of the Court to
Solicit their Foreman there after and upon the Same
day returned into Court and reported M.S. Perry to
be their choice as foreman he was duly appointed and
approved by the Court as foreman, Whereupon the said
M.S. Perry was duly sworn to discharge his duties
as foreman as aforesaid, who having his charge of the
Court retired under charge of S.W. Burnett Sheriff as
aforesaid for the Term to deliberate upon such business
as might be brought before the Court - The Court then
proceeded to call the Criminal docket
Circuit Court for Alachua County
Suwannee Circuit of Florida
To Honl T.T. Long - Judge
of said Court
The Grand Jury in view of the
pending crisis in our Country growing out of its
invasion by a powerful and unscrupulous Enemy
Respectfully request that all Common Law Causes
now pending upon the docket involving pecuniary
liability be continued to next Term of the Court

Ordered that consideration of Public Policy requires
that the request of the Grand Jury be granted

It appearing to the Satisfaction of the Court that
Philip Frasier & John W. Price of the Town of Jackson
=ville & Attornies at Law in this State & Practitioners in
this Circuit, have gone over to our Enemies & become
traitors to the State of Florida & the Confederate States
of America, the Court upon its own motion Strikes
their names from the roll of Attornies & the Clerk
is ordered to Spread this order upon the Minutes
of the Court
