Continued to next term of this Court
and the defendant Recognized in the Sum of Five hundred
Dollars for his appearance at the next term of the Court and
acknowledged himself to Stand indebted to the State of
Florida in the sum of Five hundred Dollars to be levied
of his Respective goods & chattles, Slaves lands & tenements if
default be made in the following Conditions that is to say
if the said William D. Clark shall be and appear at
the next term of the Court to answer an Indictment for Playing &
Betting at Cards and Shall not depart thence without leave
thereof then this Obligation to be null & void else to remain
in full force & virtue
Adjourned until 9 OClock tomorrow

parties by their respective attornies, and the defendant Saying
nothing in bar or preclusion of the plaintiffs right to recover
On Motion of plaintiffs Attorney against the defendant
by default, and that the Clerk do assess the damages
Whereupon the Clerk having assessed the damages at
Eighty Dollars & Forty
Cents it is ordered Considered and
adjudged by the Court that the plaintiff do have
and recover of and from the defendant the said sum
of Eighty Dollars &
Forty Cents for his damages together with his
Cost in this behalf expended taxed at Sixteen
Dollars & Forty
Cents and the defendant in mercy &c
