State of Florida    }  At a regular term of
Alachua County      }  the Circuit court for the
Suwannee Circuit of Florida this day to wit on
the 10th day of April A.D. 1865 begun & held at
Gainesville for the County of Alachua Present his
Honor "James B. Dawkins" Judge, E.M. Graham Solicitor
Samuel W. Burnett Sheriff & S.P. Bevill Clerk
The Venire heretofore issued being returned and the Jurors
Summoned to attend at this term being called the
following Jurors answered to their names

Solicited as Grand Jurors for the present Term to wit

8   E.L. King
who having retired under direction of the Court to Solicit
their foreman then after and upon the Same day returned
into Court and reported Edwards Lewis Senr to be their choice
as foreman he was duly appointed and approved by
the Court as foreman, Whereupon the said Edward
Lewis Senr was duly sworn to discharge his duties as
foreman as aforesaid, who having received his charge
of the Court retired under charge of Saml Burnett
Sheriff to deliberate upon such business as might
be brought before them
                 The Court then proceeded to
call the Criminal docket - the Court then
took recess until 2 Oclock = met pursuant to adjournment
