    Monday  April 9th  1866

Tillman Ingram      }   And now on this day came 
the parties by their respective attornies and the 
defendant Saying nothing in bar or preclusion 
of the plaintiffs right to recover, On Motion of Plaintiffs 
Attorney it is ordered that the Plaintiff do have his 
Judgement against the defendant by default and 
that the Clerk do assess the damages, Whereupon 
the Clerk having assessed the damages at Thirty four
hundred & ninety nine Dollars & Ninety one ---- Cents It is 
ordered Considered and adjudged by the Court 
that the Plaintiff do have and recover off and from 
the defendant the said Sum of Thirty four hundred &
Ninety Nine       Dollars & Ninety one          Cents for his 
damages together with his Cost in this behalf expended
taxed at Eleven             Dollars &  Eighty
 Cents and the defendant in Mercy &c

      The following petition was then presented
                
                To the Honorable Thomas T.
Long Judge of the Circuit Court of the Suwannee
Circuit of Florida, The petition of Frederick
C. Barrett Citizen of Alachua County, Respectfully
Showeth that your petitioner is over the age of
Twenty one years, has been for some time past engaged
in the Study of Law, and desires to be admitted to
Pleas and practice the same he therefore Respectfully
prays that your Honor would cause him to be examined
touching his qualifications, and if found qualified
that a License be granted him, to practice in all the
Court of Law and Equity in this State, and your
petitioner is in duly bound and will ever pray

              We the undersigned Members of
the Bar of the Suwannee Circuit of the State of Florida
do hereby Certify that we are well acquainted with
the above named Petitioner F.C. Barrett, Knowing him
to be a gentleman of good Moral Character
