The following petition presented by the Jas Banks Esq Trust
In the Suwannee Circuit Court of
Florida Alachua County - Spring Term 1866
To the Honourable Thomas T. Long
The undersigned applies
to your Honour to examine as to his fitness to be licensed
to practice Law in Said Circuit
S.R. Bonham
The undersigned recommend to your Honour S.R.
Bonham as a Man of good Moral character &
recommend the above application

On Motion it is ordered that James Banks & F.C. Barrett
in conjunction with the Court be appointed a committee
to examine said applicant & report, The Committee having
reported favourably - it is ordered by the Court that
S.R. Bonham be allowed to take the oath and on
doing so that he be admitted to practice Law in the
Court of the State of Florida

} And now on this day the parties by
their respective attornies, and the defendant Saying
nothing in bar or preclusion of the plaintiffs right
to recover On Motion of Plaintiffs attorney, it is ordered
that the plaintiff do have his Judgement against the
defendant by default, and that the Clerk do assess
the damages Whereupon the Clerk having assessed the
damages at One hundred & fifty dollars It is ordered
Considered and adjudged by the Court that the
plaintiff do have and recover off and from the defendant
the said Sum of One hundred & fifty dollars for his dam
=ages together with his Cost in this behalf expended
taxed Eight dollars & Eighty Cents, and the defendant in
Mercy &c
Adjourned untill 9 Oclock Tomorrow Morning
