And now on this day came the parties
by his attorney and whereupon came a jury to wit

who being Duly Sworn well and truly to try the issue joined by the
parties, after hearing the testimony of witness, the argument of
Council and the Charge of the Court, retired to consider of their
verdict, and then after to wit on the same day returned into Court
and rendered the following verdict, We the jury find for the
Plaintiff and assess the damages at Five dollars, Whereupon it is
ordered Considered and adjudged by the Court that the plaintiff do
have and recover off and from the defendant the said sum
of Five dollars for his damages together with his Cost taxed
at Four dollars Fourteen dollars & Ninety
Cents, and the defendant in Mercy &c

parties by their respective attornies and the defendant
Saying nothing in bar or preclusion of the plaintiffs right
to recover on Motion of plaintiffs attorney it is ordered that
the plaintiff do have his judgement against the defend-
=ant by default & that the Clerk do assess the damages
Whereupon the Clerk having assessed the damages at
One Hundred and Seventy Five ----------------
Dollars & ----------------- Cents It is ordered Considered
and adjudged by the Court that the Plaintiff do have and
recover off and from the defendant the said Sum of
One Hundred and Seventy five ----------------------
Dollars & -------------------------- Cents for his damages
together with his Cost in this behalf expended taxed at
Ten ----------------------------------- dollars & Twelve
Cents and the defend=ant in Mercy &c
