Ninth day of July in the Year of our Lord One thousand
Eight hundred and Sixty Eight, Watson Porter appeared
before the Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for the County
and State aforesaid (the said Court being a Court of 
Records having Common law jurisdiction and a Seal
and Clerk and appeals to be admitted to become a
a Citizen of the United States pursuant to the provisions of
the Several acts of the Congress of the United States of America
for the purpose made & provided, and the Said appli
=cant having thereupon produced an honorable discharge
from the Army of the United States, as likewise Such evidence 
made Such declaration, and renunciation, and taken 
Such Oath made by the Said acts required
Thereupon the said applicant is admitted to be a 
Citizen of America --- In testimony Whereof I have here
unto Set my hand and affixed the Seal of the said Court 
this the Ninth day of July in the year of our Lord One thous
=and Eight hundred & Sixty Eight, and in the Ninety Second
year of our Independence

and for the County and State aforesaid of the said County
being a Court of Record having Common law jurisdiction
and a Seal and Clerk (Watson Porter) a resident of the County
and State aforesaid who declares upon oath that
it is bone fide his intention to become a Citizen of the
United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and
fidelity to every foreign prince, potentate, State or sovereignty
and particularly all the allegiance and fidelity to Victoria
Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, and Islands
of whom he is now a Subject   }
