And now on this day came the parties
by their respective attornies, and thereupon came
a Jury to wit -

2 George Bucklin 8 William Strickland
3 Thomas T. Long 9 Henry Fewell
4 J.W. McRae 10 Riley Moore
5 R.L. Wilson 11 James R. Sanchez
6 J.D. Matheson 12 Gilbert L. Denton
who being duly Sworn well and truly the issue Joined
by the parties, after hearing the testimony of witness
the argument of Council, and the charges of the Court
retired to Considerd of their Verdict, and thereupon
to wit on the Same day, returned into Court and
rendered the following Verdict, We the Jury find
for the Plantiff and assess the damages Two hundred &
Twenty Eight Dollars Twenty Six Cents Whereupon the
Clerk having assessed the damages at Two hun
=dred & twenty Eight ------ Dollars & Twenty Six Cents It
is ordered Considered and adjudged by the
Court that the plantiff do have and recover off &
from the defendant the said sum of Two hun
dred & twenty Eight Dollars & Twenty Six Cents for his damages
together with his Costs taxed at Twelve ---------
Dollars & forty ------- cents and the defendant in
Mercy &c ---

On motion of Arch T. Banks Solicitor & it is ordered
That Geo S. Barnes be and he is
hereby ordered to dispatch Bailiffs for prisoners
and witnesses as are incarcerated in the Jails of
other counties for the purposes of having them
in attendance at this Term of the Court
