Alachua County } At a regular Term of the 5th Judicial Circuit
of Florida this day to wit on the 29th day of March A.D. 1869
begun and held at Gainesville for the County of Alachua
Present his Honor J.H. Goss Judge, Archibald T. Banks Esqr
Solicitor, George L. Barnes Sheriff and William K. Cessna Clerk
there having been a failing to Summons agreeable to Law
it is ordered that a Special Veniri be issued and
returnable immediately Commanding the Sheriff to
Summons Twelve Jurors to Serve as grand Jurors at the
present Term of the Court --- Whereupon the Sheriff
having Summoned them, the following were then chosen and
Solicited to Serve as grand Jurors for the Term to wit

The following Served as Petit Jurors for the
present Term of the Circuit Court

The Judge then appointed George Savage as such foreman
Whereupon the said George Savage was then sworn as foreman of
this Grand Jury, who received the charge of the Court,
returned under charge of a Hawkins who was duly
Sworn as Bailiff of said Jury for the Term, to
deliberate upon such business as might come before
them -- The Court then adjourned until 1/2 past
2 oclock -- Met pursuant to adjournment
proceeded to call the next Docket
