            And now on this day came the parties by their
respective attorney and thereupon came came a Jury to

who being duly sworn well and truly to try the issues join
ed by the parties; After hearing the testimony of the witness, the 
argument of Counsel and the charge of the Court retired to consid=
er of their verdict and thereupon on the same day returned into Court 
and rendered the following verdict = We, the Jury, find for the plaintiff 
and assess the damages at two hundred and fifty two forty one Dollars & 
98/100 twenty cents Whereupon it is ordered considered and adjudged 
by the Court that the plaintiff do have and recover off and from 
the defendant the said sum of two hundred and fifty two forty one Dollars 
for his damages together with his costs taxed at fifteen
             Dollars & Eight         cents & the defen-
dant in mercy &c
