the foregoing deed from the New York & Florida Lumber
Company to the Alachua County Colonization Company, is
well known to me and known to me to be the indiv-
idual described in and who executed the said deed as
the Vice-President of said Company and that he person-
ally appeared before me this day in said State and
County and acknowledged to and before me that he
executed said deed as the Vice-President of said Compa-
ny, and that the same is the free act and deed of the
said New York & Florida Lumber Company, and that the
Corporate seal of said Company attested by its secretary,
was thereupon impressed by authority of the Board of Direc-
tors of said Company, and that said execution by him
as Vice-President as aforesaid was for the uses and pur-
poses therein set forth and expressed.
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
Official seal in the said County this 29th day of April

between Pauline A. Lacquey, widow of Jefferson d. Lacquey,
deceased of the County of Alachua State of Florida and
M.M. Tidwell of the County of Suwannee and State of
Florida, of the second part: Witnesseth, that the party of
the first part, in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred
and no/100 Dollars, to her in hand paid by the said party
of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge
has granted, bargained, sold, aliened remised, released, con-
veyed and confirmed, and by these presents does grant, bargain,
sell, alien, remise, release, convey and confirm unto the
said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns,
