interest thereby secured shall become due and payable,
at the option of the mortgagee herein, and it is further
agreed and stipulated that the said M.J. Patterson and
J.H. Patterson, her husband, shall keep the buildings
standing on the land aforesaid insured against fire
in the sum of eighteen hundred ($1800.00) Dollars, and
in default of the mortgagors keeping said property in-
sured for said amount, the mortgagee may at her option
have and keep the same insured, and then and in that
event have a lien upon said property for the cost of said
insurance. And it is further agreed and stipulated that
the said M.J. Patterson and J.H. Patterson, her husband,
may pay all or any part of the principal on the day the
interest becomes due. In Witness Whereof, we have hereto

day of April, A.D. 1912.

on this 3rd day of April, A.D. 1912, before me personally
appeared M.J. Patterson and J.H. Patterson, her husband,
to me well known as the persons described in and who
executed the foregoing mortgage deed, and severally ack-
nowledged the execution thereof to be their free act and
deed, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned; and
the said M.J. Patterson, the wife of the said J.H.
Patterson, on an examination taken and made separate-
ly and apart from her said husband, did acknowledge
before me that she made herself a party to the said
conveyance, and executed the same for the purpose of
releasing, relinquishing and renouncing all her right
of separate estate and dower interest in and to the lands,
tenements and hereditaments therein described and thereby
granted and released, and that such relinquishment and
renunciation of all her right of separate estate and dower |
