This indenture, made this 13th day of April 1912, between
Henry S. Holmes & his wife Alexina J.C. Holmes of the
County of Charleston in the State of South Carolina parties
of the first part and J.H. Alderman of the County of Alachua
in the State of Florida party of the second part, Witnesseth:
That the sum of Ten (& other valuable consideration) dollars,
to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part,
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bar-
gained and sold to the said party of the second part, his
heirs and assigns forever, the following described lots, pieces,
parcels or tract of land, situated and being in Alachua
County, Florida, to-wit:
(The East half of lot 7 of Sanchez & Thompson's subdivision
of lot 3 of Baileys addition to Gainesville as per plat thereof
recorded in plat book "A" at page 29 of the public records
of Alachua County, Florida, and more particularly described
as follows to-wit: commence on the south side of Alachua
Ave; at the north west corner of what is commonly known
as the Geo. Gilmore lot and run thence south 144 55/100
feet to the south west corner of said Gilmore lot, thence
run north 84° and 29' west 35 feet, thence run north 144
feet to the south side of Alachua avenue, thence run east
along the south side of Alachua avenue 35 feet to the
point of beginning, being in Sec 4 Tp 10R 20) and being
the land described in deed from J.H. Alderman & wife to
W.T. Chesnut executed Feby 24, 1903 and recorded in deed book
57 at page 328 public record aforesaid, reference thereto being
had To have and to hold the above described premises,
together with all and singular the tenements, the
hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging
or in anywise appertaining, unto him the said party
of the second part, heirs and assigns forever. And the
said parties of the first part do hereby fully warrant
the title to said land, and will defend the same
against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever
